Our client is a well-established international contractor delivering large-scale construction projects across Europe. With a strong reputation for technical excellence and project delivery, the company operates across a diverse portfolio including commercial developments, advanced manufacturing, infrastructure, and mission-critical data centre facilities.

Due to continued expansion within the data centre sector, our client is seeking an experienced Civil Engineering Lead to join the delivery team on a major data centre project in Finland.
The successful candidate will take responsibility for managing and coordinating all civil engineering works across the project, ensuring that activities are delivered safely, efficiently, and in accordance with project specifications and programme requirements. Working closely with project management, design teams, subcontractors, and client representatives, the Civil Engineering Lead will play a key role in ensuring the successful delivery of enabling and infrastructure works on this large-scale development.
The successful candidate will work closely with project management, engineering teams, subcontractors, and client representatives to ensure all civil works are delivered to the highest quality and safety standards.

Key Responsibilities
• Lead and coordinate all civil engineering works on a large-scale data centre construction project in Finland
• Manage and supervise subcontractors delivering key civil packages including site preparation, earthworks, drainage, utilities, roads, and external infrastructure
• Ensure all works are carried out in accordance with engineering drawings, technical specifications, and project programme requirements
• Monitor construction progress and maintain strict quality control procedures across all civil works
• Promote and enforce a strong health & safety culture across all site activities
• Coordinate closely with structural, CSA, and MEP teams to ensure efficient sequencing and integration of works
• Identify and resolve technical and programme-related issues in collaboration with design teams and project management
• Manage daily site operations relating to civil works including planning, resource allocation, and work sequencing
• Conduct regular site inspections and toolbox talks to ensure compliance with company policies and regulatory standards
• Assist with the preparation and implementation of method statements, risk assessments, and construction planning documentation
• Maintain accurate site documentation, reports, and progress updates for project management and client reporting
• Support project milestones and ensure civil works are delivered in line with overall project schedule and commissioning requirements
